Maternity and New born Review consultation completed
The Materntiy and Newborn Review for NHS Nottingham City and NHS Nottinghamshire County (2009/10) ran from 30 November 2009 until 6 March 2010.
More than 18 months engagement has been done on the review, with over 1,000 service users and clinical staff across the County and City.
This included events, questionnaires, focus groups, visioning days and staff sessions.
The feedback will now be analysed and will influence the way we plan and pay for services for maternity and newborn care.
There will be a final report on the engagement undertaken as part of the review in summer.
Maternity Matters

We have already made some improvements to meet the new national standards called Maternity Matters by:
• Extending the venues available to women for antenatal and post-natal care.
• Developing advice leaflets for women on access to and choice of maternity services.
