Learning Disabilities Placement
NHS Nottinghamshire County invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers who are able to provide suitable accommodation and care and treatment for a complex individual learning disability patient. The patient is currently placed out of area in low secure care and the PCT would like to repatriate the patient to within Nottinghamshire or in very close proximity to the County boundary.
The
PCT is looking to commission a single person purpose built service initially.
Also as part of the procurement process the PCT is keen to explore the options
around a site/service model for other patients.
The contract value
indicated is an indicative figure only, final contract values and length of
contract will be agreed as part of the dialogue process.
The service
provider will require hospital registration with RMO responsibilities to cover
Mental Health Act Requirements, and be able to prescribe physical intervention,
restraint and medical intervention. 24 hour registered nursing cover would be
essential.
The PCT intends to enter in to a competitive dialogue with
potential providers to identify a suitable cost effective service solution. If
more than one suitable proposal is identified the PCT may invite competitive
tender bids. In the event of not being able to identify a suitable solution the
PCT reserves the right not to make any contract award
