PCT Directorates
Communications and engagement
The Directorate is responsible for all internal and external communications related to the PCT. This includes the website, corporate publications, media relations, public consultations, staff and stakeholder communications, social marketing campaigns and events.

The Finance Directorate has a key role in ensuring that the PCT uses public resources effectively and can demonstrate best value for money in all activities.
The main functions of the Directorate are:
- Financial strategy
- Financial planning and control
- Financial accounting and assurance
- Commissioning finance
- Provider finance
- Primary care finance
Medical
The Medical Directorate's key role is to provide advice to the Chief Executive, the Trust Board and Executive Directors on implications arising from national and local policy on the Medical Workforce.

The directorate works to support effective commissioning to improve the health and well being of people in Nottinghamshire. Intelligent commissioning is the key to the NHS reforms and ensuring the effectiveness of the local health system.

Sharing the same boundary as Nottinghamshire County Council area, the Public Health Directorate covers NHS Nottinghamshire County PCT, NHS Bassetlaw and Nottinghamshire County Council.

The Directorate’s purpose is to ensure the quality and excellence of services, and the safety and well being of patients, public and staff.

The Directorate covers NHS Nottinghamshire County, NHS Bassetlaw and NHS Nottingham City. It includes the merged PCT HR Shared Services previously in operation in the north and south of the county prior to October 2006.
