Cancer kills 800 Nottinghamshire people prematurely every year.

By 2014 we plan to cut these deaths in under 75s by 16%.

Why? Cancer is the biggest killer after heart disease, so reducing cancer deaths will free up NHS resources to be spent elsewhere.

How? More screening and fast tracking for diagnosis and treatment, more radiotherapy machines.
