Pacesetters
The Department of Healths Pacesetters programme aims to tackle inequalities in health services and in the workplace arising out of discrimination and disadvantage.
The programme is founded on a robust evidence base and evaluation strategy. Its projects are developed through co-design with communities and delivered through a service improvement methodology.
As part of the Pacesetter s programme, NHS Nottinghamshire County is working jointly with NHS Nottingham City and Nottingham University Hospitals Trust on the following projects:

- Palliative Care for patients from faith communities
- Representation of BME staff within the PCT workforce

Breaking Through Programme
Institution for Innovation and Improvement runs the Breaking Through Programme which focuses on creating a level playing field for black and minority ethnic NHS staff, and gives those with the talent and potential to move into senior leadership roles the tools to do so.
This initiative is communicated across the organisation each year.

In the Pink
In the Pink is an excellent product of our collaboration with the Department of Health Pacesetter Programme. The In the Pink practical guide is for GPs and other health practitioners to help them provide excellent care for Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual People in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County.
