NHS Nottinghamshire County leads the local NHS. As a primary Care Trust, we plan and pay for health services for 660,000 people in:

• Ashfield
• Broxtowe
• Gedling
• Mansfield
• Newark and Sherwood
• Rushcliffe

Our main roles are to:

• Identify the health needs of local people, and then meet those needs.
• Commission the entire range of health services, from routine check-ups to life-saving operations.
• Improve peoples length and quality of life.
• Encourage everyone to live healthily.
• Police services to keep them high-quality and safe.
• Ensure the local NHS gives best value for money.
• Give people a say in what the local NHS does.

Our overall aim is to improve the health and well being of people in Nottinghamshire.
