Specialist Childrens Services
About Us
We are an NHS service, part of Nottinghamshire Community Health. The service started in 1992, initially providing information for families who attended the Child Development Centre in Nottingham. It now serves Nottinghamshire (outside Bassetlaw) and Nottingham city. There are 2 full time Information Officers who are qualified librarians.
The service provides information for anyone caring for a child with physical disabilities or long term illness, learning difficulties, behavioural or emotional difficulties. You could be a parent, grandparent, foster carer or a worker from any statutory or voluntary service who has contact with children – if you need more information to support the child why not look at our families or our working with families pages.
Look at our catalogue of resources for loan or get a copy of our local directory of services Finding your way.
